As of September 5th, we still do not have any salvations, baptisms or new members in 2026, but we look continue to God to give the increase and we desire to remain faithful to Him and to not be discouraged.

MVGBC Updates & Praises

27 people have agreed to pray alongside us.
Saints are praying in California, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Virginia.
Those praying represent a variety of denominations such as: Baptist, the Evangelical Free Church of America, Evangelical Friends Church International, the First Church of God, the United Methodist Church, and the Orthodox Presbyterian Church.
MVGBC Updates (May-August)
In early May, over 20 Grange members from across the state of Ohio gathered at our church to celebrate their annual Rural Life Sunday. Chaplain Les Widder delivered a message about the importance of God’s soil and a good time was enjoyed by all!
On May 17th, Ron Reffett shared how he still has joy after being widowed in 2004 and again in 2024. Our congregation and those visiting were inspired by Ron’s perseverance in the face of grievous trials.
Pastor Justin performed a funeral for a community member named Gloria. Please pray for fruit from the interactions.
Nearly 200 people were invited to a Playdate at the Playground marking the 1st Anniversary of our Meadowside Playground. Rain showers caused a light crowd, which included a handful of children.
MVGBC Summer Work and Projects
Lots of work has been done around the church building and grounds this Summer.
Multiple windstorms caused damage to multiple trees and also the dumpster enclosure. Praise The Lord, everything is cleaned up and repaired (under budget)!
Thanks to a local family lending their equipment, the church was pressure washed (please pray the family is blessed!)
Meadowside Playground was upgraded with the addition of a new embankment slide, new play features and updated landscaping.
Please pray that neighbors can see how God (and His people) love them by creating holy, tranquil spaces for worship, reflection, and wholesome interaction.

Worship and Music
Please continue to pray for a pianist or guitarist to accompany our Sunday morning worship services.

Pray for financial provision for the church so that God’s work can continue in our community, through our congregation.

Current Services
Sunday Morning Worship
Pastor Justin is preaching through 1 Peter and we are currently finishing up chapter 3.
A recent sermon was about having a good and clean conscience towards God even in the face of accusations.
Sunday Evening Bible Study
Pastor Justin is teaching through 2 Corinthians
We are currently in 2 Corinthians 11.
A community member has attended 5 out of the past 6 Sunday evenings! He attends a church over 30 minutes away and would like to find a church closer to home.
Youth Group
Pastor Justin is teaching our youth about their current roles and relationships.
Recently we’ve discussed 1. Being children and honoring parents 2. Living in harmony with siblings.
Upcoming lessons will include teaching about 1. Loving neighbors 2. Being a godly friend 3. Being a saint.
Lambkins Class
Lambkins is our kids class, currently ages 5-11.
Pastor Justin is teaching the Lambkins about The Trinity. Our most recent lesson was about The Holy Spirit.

MVGBC Anniversary
We will mark the church’s 44th Anniversary on September 19th.
Praise The Lord for His faithfulness!
Autumn Church Workday
An Autumn workday is scheduled for Friday, September 25th
Repairs, maintenance, and improvements will be made around the church building and grounds.
Community Meadow Workday
A community workday is scheduled October 16th, 2026.
The church and any community volunteers will be working to eliminate tree saplings and any other invasive woody plants from our 4 acre wildflower meadow.
Please pray for God to be glorified through this outreach.
Pop-Up Art Gallery II
We are planning to hold a second pop-up art gallery this Autumn (we held our first gallery in February and it was a big success!)
The theme will be The Joy of Harvest from Isaiah 9:3.
The gallery date and details are still to be determined.
